The Best of Bass

Pages magazine Assistant Editor, Lucinda Rose Constable, dissects Ed Westwick's outfits from his recent trip to Sydney.

The visit down under by Gossip Girl man about town, Chuck Bass, threw Sydney women into a frenzy last week. Ed Westwick, the man behind Bass, was in town for the launch of the new Virgin Mobile Smart Cap plans, and he's the perfect ambassador as he is so glued to his 'cell' phone. These new Smart Caps, all come with unlimited standard text in Oz* and loads of data to use on your phone for things like Facebook, which seems very appropriate for the Gossip Guy himself.

While Ed was here, Erin Moy from Groupie was lucky enough to secure an interview to catch up with him and hear his thoughts about fashion and the show. Watch the interview here. Meanwhile, while having a facebook stalk through all the photos from his time in Sydney, it brought us to analysing his outfit choices, outside of the famed show. Without his trusty on set stylist, how would GG fare in the style stakes?

Outfit 1: Grey suit with burgundy shoes

It would be hard to go wrong with this look as a whole. The light grey colour works with everything, and looks great just teamed with a tshirt for a more relaxed look. The shoes were a bit of a risk, but worked in his favour, especially judging by all the comments left on the Virgin Mobile Members' Lounge Facebook page! The wrist bands add a bit of personality, but overall an effortless outfit that really suits him.

Outfit 2: Double denim ensemble

Another daring move from Mr Westwick on the double denim front. For someone who had never even heard the term "Canadian Tuxedo", he does it pretty well. The plunging neckline we are not so sure about, but the vintage Levi's duo is doing it for us.

Outfit 3: Black suit

It's pretty hard to go wrong with a black suit, but again what's happening with that V neck? He does look very swish, and it is easy to see why all the girls have gone wild for him.

However, we thought he had an American accent. Apparently not, he was born in England. We can't decide which is better?
