Amy Winehouse goes from strength to strength

Ever since she kicked her drug and booze habit - not to mention her drug and booze hubby - Amy Winehouse has gone from strength to strength in the looks department. The former train wreck scrubbed up well and looked pretty in purple at the London premiere of her new bloke Reg Travis's horror flick Psychosis. And as usual, Amy's gobby dad Mitch put his two cents' in about her budding romance with Reg. "I'm happy she's moving on with her life," Mitch says. "He's a really nice chap. They're very fond of each other, so we will have to see how it goes." Anything's an improvement on her jailbird ex Blake Fielder-Civil.

Both Miley Cyrus's and Rihanna's careers have shifted into reverse. Poor ticket sales caused RiRi to can her concert in Atlanta this month, while Miley's new album Can't Be Tamed has tanked globally, with industry insiders blaming her raunchy new image for scaring off her younger fan base. Let's hope it's just a phase for the two popstars.

Twilight hottie R-Patz has taken a verbal swing at faded grunge star Courtney Love, calling her a "dick". When talk surfaced of the actor playing the singer's dead husband Kurt Cobain in a biopic, she snarled that the Twilight star was "wrong" for the part. Amazingly, for once someone agreed with her - Rob himself. "I love Nirvana, but I love them a bit too much - I'd be embarrassed [to play Kurt Cobain]. I didn't get offered it." Still miffed by Courtney's complaints, Rob then added, "You see all these comments, like from Courtney Love... and I'm like, I f***ing said no, you dick!" There are heaps of people who would agree with you on that one, R-Patz!

Pamela Anderson can't deny her lingering feelings for ex-husband Tommy Lee. "We love each other," Pammy, 43, says, adding that her children - Brandon, 14, and Dylan, 12 - don't hang with their dad much. "I think they will spend more time with him when they are older," she says hopefully, "but Tommy is eternally 16."

We spotted Penn Badgley looking right at home pushing a bub around on the set of Gossip Girl, but he and co-star Jessica Szohr actually practised the manouvre with a plastic doll first. The pair are filming potential spoilers - with Penn's character Dan rumoured to have become a dad in the off-season - around Queens in New York.
