Things to See

Taking your time at Sydney's MCA

Icelandic/Danish Olafur Eliasson makes things for you. That's right, YOU. His works are the kind that you can literally get inside, smell and touch with your own two hands.

Even if you haven't heard of Olafur Eliasson, you've probably seen his work. The guy put a waterfall under New York's Brooklyn Bridge in 2008 and a sun in London's Tate Modern in 2007. Running until April 11, 2010, The current exhibition at Sydney's Museum of Modern Art gallery - Take your time: Olafur Eliasson - features a range of the artist's work, including an immersive colour room that slowly rotates the spectrum, a tunnel of reflective mirrors, kaleidoscopes and a wall of scented Arctic moss.

To support the exhibition, MCA has built a dedicated microsite featuring a range of reviews, articles and interviews surrounding the show and artist (including an incredible collaboration with Mekanism Skateboards!). Brush up on your knowledge at www.eliasson.com.au and head MCA way to experience Eliasson's (and your) magic world.
