Supermild's dim red lights create an instant atmosphere for those looking to escape a typical club night, and to the regulars, it's a second home. The slightly kitsch, retro vibe is embraced whole-heartedly on Wednesday nights when DJs spin well-worn tunes all night, but there are also DJs with more modern tastes in residence Thursday through to Saturday.

Sure, it can be a bit grungy, but in the same way that your old couch is coated in familiar stains - Supermild is just right. You can't help but feel at home sharing the remnants of a second hand cigarette at five in the morning, or wandering aimlessly up the renowned stairs to nowhere.

There are no tap beers at Supermild, but there's plenty to keep the crowd lubricated. Bottled beers range from domestic brews to Bintang and the cocktail list includes 30-odd mixes. Favourites include the Apple Crumble (apple schnapps and cinnamon liqueur) and the Cucumber Sandwich (Pimms, apple schnapps, lime and ginger ale). Bottoms up.
